Client context
Founders building a SME lending wallet needed investor meetings in six weeks without a native app. Prior slide-only demos failed to convey compliance rigor, repayment flows, and collections edge cases that diligence teams always asked about.
Our approach
Simplileap delivered high-fidelity Figma prototype covering onboarding, GST-linked KYC, credit line approval, drawdown, EMI schedule, and collections, with realistic empty, loading, and error states. Every screen annotated for engineering estimate and compliance review.
Approach: week one wireframes and flow validation with compliance advisor; week two visual design aligned to RBI-facing disclosure language; week three interaction design and microcopy for delinquency and grace-period states; week four moderated founder rehearsals and iteration.
Delivery notes
Technical implementation: component library with variant states for approval pending, bureau timeout, and insufficient credit; prototype linked flows for investor walkthrough with chapter markers; usability script covering happy path and three failure scenarios.
Handoff package: user flow diagram, component list for engineering estimate, usability test script, and recording of five investor-style walkthroughs with timestamped feedback log.
The challenge
Problems: legal revised disclosure order mid-sprint, versioned component variants; prototype could not simulate real bureau pull, used timed loader with annotated "simulated" banner for demo honesty; founders requested Hindi copy on two screens, added without breaking layout grid.
Results & impact
Outcome: founders reported follow-up meeting rate improved; seed extension closed with prototype cited in diligence. Identity withheld, SME fintech startup, design-led engagement from Bangalore.
